When it concerns the ultra-successful game show Deal or No Deal are you a captivated fan, or do you scratch your head thinking what the fuss all is about? Whether you like it or you don’t, the game show, Deal or No Deal is enduring its unstoppable rise in popularity. But have you taken time to think about what had made the show Deal or No Deal so universally popular?
Deal or No Deal was launched in the UK. The Dutch company Endemol, was responsible in producing a string of booming shows like that of Fear Factor and Big Brother. This company is the production brain behind the franchise of the game show Deal or No Deal. The show was initially aired in Holland. Soon after, it was followed by an Australian version. From then onwards almost all the countries from all across the globe adopted the show. From Australia to Argentina, Deal or No Deal became a domestic name.
So, how does the game function? Before it begins, different amounts of cash are kept sealed in cases or boxes numbered by some independent referee. In the UK the game of Deal or No deal is played using 22 boxes, however when the game is played in some different part of the world there is a variation in the number of boxes and / or the amount of money. These boxes are kept arranged in front of any contestant who chooses five boxes before s/he receives a proposal from the unidentified banker over the telephone. The person hosting the show asks the contestant whether or not s/he decides in accepting or declining the offer. Bingo games are a lot like this.
The fun then begins! The contestant should say "Deal" in accepting the offer or say a "No Deal" for rejecting it and carrying on. Then, the amount is revealed by opening the boxes. If the amount of cash revealed in the rejected boxes, is low, the banker would then offer greater amounts to the contestant for achieving a deal, but offers would be much less than the highest amount which remains unrevealed in an unopened box. This procedure is continued till an offer seems to be acceptable to the contestant, or till just two boxes remain.
For any contestant the risk during the game is to reject firm offers from bankers in opposition to the possibility of winning more amount of money in some unopened box. When all boxes have been cut down, and the contestant is left with the remaining last two s/he would be given the opportunity of swapping the box which they possess with the remaining box.
This is the final chance to "Deal or No Deal" before the box of their choice is opened and the contestants get the amount of money that is enclosed in it. This could prove to be a matter of taking extreme chance if there is a large amount and a small amount remaining! It is completely a matter of luck as to which contestant would walk away with the greater sum of money.
